It’s a truth that’s worth repeating again and again: The Long Beach Symphony simply wouldn’t exist without a dedicated volunteer force. From the smiling people who greet our patrons at the theater and arena doors, to fund-raising specialists, to the people who lend a helping hand in our offices, the mission and outreach of the Symphony are enriched by the generosity of its community of volunteers.
Our volunteers generously contribute their time and talents to support an extensive schedule of concerts, community outreach activities, and education programs that serve over 25,000 children and adults each year.
As a Long Beach Symphony volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to work and learn in a variety of different behind-the-scenes environments, from working with students in music education programs to raising funds at special benefit events. You’ll also have the chance to meet others who share your love of symphonic music and your desire to make a difference in the cultural life of Long Beach and its surrounding communities.
Our valued volunteers are critical in our continued efforts to achieve and maintain the mission of the Long Beach Symphony. Your dues enable us to arrange events which help to raise additional funds to benefit the orchestra. It takes hundreds of volunteer hours to make these events successful.
