Concert Venues

The concerts take place at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center at the south end of Long Beach Boulevard at Ocean Boulevard. Classical Series concerts are staged at the Terrace Theater, while the Pops Series concerts take place in the Long Beach Arena. These are both part of the expansive Long Beach Convention Center complex, which is steps from the harbor and within easy walking distance of numerous downtown restaurants.

    Terrace Theater

The five-concert Classical series takes place at the Terrace Theater. Part of the Beverly O'Neill Performing Arts Center, the Terrace Theater is a beautiful venue accommodating nearly 3,000 patrons. The format honors an elegant Continental style with spaces for wheelchairs. The theater’s soaring lobby boasts a floor-to-ceiling glass façade with stunning views of the center’s dramatic fountain plaza. There’s an ocean view from the facility’s west side and, at night, brightly lit cityscape from the east perimeter.

Part of the Beverly O'Neill Performing Arts Center, the arena accommodates more than 7,000 patrons—with 3,000 of them seated on the arena floor for pre-concert picnicking—hence the Pops well-known brand, “Southern California’s Greatest Indoor Musical Picnics.” The outside of the building is covered by the world’s largest outdoor mural, Planet Ocean, by internationally renowned marine-life artist Wyland.
