The Modern Apsara Company bridges the modern world to the sacred art of Cambodian classical dance. Through performance, training, and workshops, the Modern Apsara Company honors the legacies of past and current dance masters by showcasing their work in elevated spaces. The company was founded by first-generation Cambodian-American refugee, Reaksmey “Mea” Lath, with the purpose of preserving the integrity and quality of the traditions left by the ancestors.

Long Beach Ballet Academy has been training professional ballet dancers for over 42 years.  Best known locally for their annual production of The Nutcracker, this production has entertained over half a million audience members at the Terrace Theater.  The Long Beach Ballet is led by Artistic Director David Wilcox.  For over 25 years he has staged three full length ballets for ballet companies in China and has toured there annually with his own dancers and aspiring ballet students from across the U.S.
