Long Beach Symphony announces auditions for
2nd Clarinet/Eb & 3rd/Bass Clarinet
February 25th and 26th, 2026
– 2nd Clarinet/Eb (Preliminary and Final Rounds): Wednesday, February 25, 2026
– 3rd/Bass Clarinet (Preliminary and Final Rounds): Thursday, February 26, 2026
Location: All auditions will be held at the Long Beach Terrace Theater at 300 Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA

Specify CLARINET in the subject line.
Please indicate for which position you intend to audition or if you will audition for both.
Deposit: $50 deposit due with application. One deposit will cover both positions. Your check will be returned to you upon check-in at auditions or timely cancellation.

Clarinet II & III Audition Repertoire List
Services: Long Beach Symphony’s 2026-2027 season consists of 5 Classical, 5 Pops, 2 Youth, and 2 Family Concerts.
Compensation: 2025-2026 Base Scale: $164.89 Rehearsal / $207.24 Performance. Base Scale subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Employment Requirements:
Long Beach Symphony employs a union orchestra with a Collective Bargaining Agreement with AFM Local 7. All hired musicians must join AFM Local 7 as a condition of employment with Long beach Symphony. The winning candidate(s) will be required to show proof of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the United States.
