Long Beach Symphony will once again deliver a high-energy party evening with indoor picnicking, superb music, and the ability to dance the night away to the legendary music of ABBA, presented by ARRIVAL from Sweden.
ARRIVAL from Sweden’s 10-member band will join Long Beach Symphony on this powerful stage ensuring Southland audiences jump to their feet. With nearly 400 million records sold and following the success of the musical and movie productions of “Mama Mia,” ARRIVAL from Sweden ensures audiences across the globe can continue to enjoy the band’s fan favorites performed live. ABBA fan clubs have referred to ARRIVAL as “The Closest You Will Ever Get To ABBA!”
Conducted by the energetic Anthony Parnther, known around the world for his orchestral contributions and extensive list of film and television soundtracks, ARRIVAL from Sweden will deliver the iconic classics like “Money, Money, Money,” “Take a Chance on Me,” and “Mamma Mia!”, ensuring a timeless appeal and connecting with audiences of all ages.

Bursting to life with bold melodies, playful characters, and thrilling adventure. this is an unforgettable musical journey where orchestra instruments become heroes in a timeless tale of courage and imagination.
This festival‑style celebration invites children and adults alike to explore the joy of live orchestral music through hands‑on activities, arts and crafts, games, and a playful symphony performance led by Conductor Eckart Preu. Kids (17 and under) get in free, making this an accessible way for families to experience the wonder of music together.

Thanks to a generous multi‑year grant from the The RuMBa Foundation of Long Beach, children can enjoy free admission through 2027 — making this one of the most accessible family music events in Southern California. These concerts are designed not just to entertain, but to connect families to live symphonic music and spark a lifelong love of the arts across generations.
Families will enjoy the beloved Peter and the Wolf, a “symphonic tale for children” programmatic musical composition written by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936. The narrator tells a Russian folk tale, which the orchestra illustrates by using different instruments to play themes that represent each character in the story. This free festival-style event will be filled with activities, live music, interactive booths, and kid-friendly food. Children will be able to play with symphonic musical instruments at the “Instrument Petting Zoo” and crafting their own batons for “Conducting 101” with our assistant conductors. Enjoy arts and crafts, lawn games and activities, and more! Children are encouraged to come in their favorite costume!
At 3PM, the Terrace Theater will open for children and their families to enjoy an interactive, educational, and playful musical performance, led by by Maestro Eckart Preu. Join in the fun and learn about all the different sights and sounds that make up an orchestra.
